THE STUDENTS OF THE SITUM PROJECT AT SCHOOL BY MESSERSÌ
Sustainability and new technologies at the center of the lessons held yesterday in Barbara's company as part of the advanced training course that sees together the universities of Marche, Umbria and Abruzzo
Stop by Messersì Packaging for the students of Situm, School of Humanistic Managerial Technological Innovation that builds a bridge between the skills required by companies and the training courses of universities. The Situm project brings together the Polytechnic University of Marche, the University of Perugia and the University of L'Aquila as well as economic actors of the territory; companies with a "high rate of innovation" are involved in the project, including Messersì Packaging.
"I think it was stimulating for the guys to get to know a reality that work in an international dimension and with an eye always turned to the future - says Maurizio Messersì, founder and director of the company -. We design and build tailor-made packaging machines for large companies around the world and our technicians can experience the latest technological developments in different fields, to create something unique every time".
During the lesson, students were able to discover the vision systems that are installed on Messersì machines to scan the products to be packaged and thus automatic industrial end of line machines. In terms of sustainability, Messersì has created a complete recovery and recycling system for the production of strapping band, as well as having activated various collaborations for the recovery of plastic material dispersed in the seas.
"The course - explains Professor Castellini - offers girls and boys the opportunity not only to see the application of their skills in the production world, but also to address transversal issues. In fact, we deal with both technical aspects and the more humanistic and managerial ones, without neglecting some ethical aspects to which future professionals will be called to respond in relation to the development of new eco-sustainable technologies and artificial intelligence."
Born in 2020 from the will of the rectors of the universities of Ancona and Perugia, the Situm project aims to promote the development of the territory through the creation of work and entrepreneurship. The training courses are aimed at real employment opportunities and the network of companies that make up the Situm laboratories offers students an updated view of present and future job prospects, the necessary skills and possible development paths.
